About Me
My professional career
started in 1996 at
Wavendon Golf Centre in
Milton Keynes following a
successful club amateur
career in Bedford.
Shortly afterwards I
joined the Professional
Golfers Association
(PGA) and was among
the first to become PGA National Diploma qualified in
2001. The programme allows participants to broaden
their knowledge in all aspects of professional golf.
In 2004, I became Head Professional and General
Manager at a Golf Centre in Nottingham.
After 18 months in Nottingham
and over 9 years with the same
company, I accepted the position
of Teaching Professional with the
Redbourn Coaching Academy.
My reputation is built on clear, easy to understand
teaching methods combined with an extensive
knowledge of the game.
I have over 10 years
experience, coaching at
all levels from beginners
to professionals.
Testimonials
Having played for many years, I was apprehensive about
seeing a pro but James made the whole experience very
easy. He has given me a much deeper understanding of
the golf swing and improved my game no end. I can′t
recommend him highly enough.

When I started having lessons with James I was playing
off the maximum handicap. After identifying the basic
faults James worked on their correction. A year later I
had a 16 handicap which was ahead of my expectations.
In what can be a frustrating sport it has been a pleasure
receiving instruction from James.

James′ non critical, professional approach increases
confidence and ability; improving results and
consequent enjoyment at whatever level of the game
you′re at.

James is a fabulous Golf Professional, the best I′ve had.
He makes the lesson enjoyable as well as serious. He sets
me routines and targets to master that knocks shots
off my scores.
